Thassos Island - Beaches
Thassos island has wonderful beaches all around its coast. Some of them are organized and crowded, while others are queiet. The main road of the island is in very good condition, allowing the tourists to have acces to any of the many beaches in Thassos. There are many choices, each of the island's beaches has its beauty.

in Limenaria. Known for its sand
which has therapeutic qualities.

the promenade. You can rent small boats,
sundbed and umbrellas here.
(Bambouras) - a lonely
beach on the site of an
ancient harbour,
of great interest.
Quite rocky in the sea.
Thymonia
Situated in a gulf
Metallia - during the ancient times,
an iron-processing factory was established here
Klisma - quiet beach without many tourists.
Skala Sotira - There are two beaches in Skala Sotiras:
a small sandy beach next to the port
and a pebble beach that is a little northern.

Chrysi Ammoudia
Agios Antonios - The beach of San Antonio
is at the southern end of the beach of Potos.
Umbrellas and sunbeds can be rented here.
Paradise Beach (Paradisos) - The best beach on the island,
resembling a tropical paradise.
Paradise Beach is the only beach where it is allowed
to practice nudist sunbathing. On the left end
of the beach there is a spot for the nudists,
while at the other end tourists wear bathing clothes.
Next to a small tavern there is also a Beachvolleyball-field.

to allow the tourists to swim in the sea.
Golden Beach - It is one of the most beautiful beaches
in the whole of the Mediterranean
as well as one of the cleanest. Awarded with "Blue Flag".

Skala Rachoni - Long beach with thin sand,
surrounded by greenery.
Pachis - wonderful beach with crystal clear sea,
crowded and organized.
Pachis was just a nice sandy beach.
Lately has been developed to a resort area
with new hotels, pansions.
Papalimani, Glyfada, Nisteri - in the north part
of the island Agios.

Skala Potamia - a long beach,
very well organized
Kinira - a long beach in green,
tropical surroundings
Agios Ioannis (Bambouras) - a lonely beach
on the site of an ancient harbour,
of great interest. Quite rocky in the sea.
Astris - well organized, 5 Km from Potos.
